Based on the traffic load expression put forward in this paper, the influence law of driving speed and vehicle weight or vehicle type on deformation of highway was discussed by the two-dimension finite element numerical analysis. The research shows that the vertical deformation range of highway under the action of traffic load is generally semi-circular; when the vehicle weight is relatively small, with the driving speed increasing, the vertical deformation of the surface increases, the influence of driving speed on the vertical deformation of the surface decreases after the speed reaches a certain value; when the vehicle weight is larger, with the driving speed increasing. the vertical deformation of the surface increases significantly; the increasing of the vertical deformation of the pavement and subgrade is very remarkable with the vehicle weight increasing.
