LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE GREAT THAILAND FLOOD 2011, HOW UAV HELP SCIENTISTS WITH EMERGENCY RESPONSE, DISASTER AVERSION

摘要

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles were helping Thai authorities to do disaster recoveryduring the Great Thailand flood of 2011. UAVs were flown by multiple agenciesduring the flood. We created the way to communicate and work with researchersto provide water movement data for simulation to manage the floodmovement systematically. In this paper, we discuss about the flood, the UAVusage during the flood, the lessons learned, and what can be improved.
