Efficiency of Solar Biosolids Drying

Solar drying is dependent on location, weather and season. Dryers should be more efficient, i.e. they should need smaller footprint. Drying should generate little dust and odor, and should avoid operator health risks. Solar drying can normally not produce Class A solids. It would be desirable if a simple add-on for dependable disinfection could be developed. Means for increasing drying efficiency are presented and processes for production of Class A solids are discussed.
