摘要

Failure of arteriovenous grafts for hemodialysis is related to the development of stenotic lesions at the venous anastomosis. These lesions are associated with disturbed flow due to the abnormally, yet required high flow rates. In addition, in some cases the development of multiple stenotic lesions at the efferent vein has-been observed. This paper proposes a mechanism of the emergence of this phenomenon based on investigations performed by Computational Fluid Mechanics.
