EFFECT OF MINERAL WOOL INSULATIONS ON CHARRING OF TIMBER MEMBERS

摘要

The behaviour in fire is an important issue for timber members. Mineral wool is used for cavity insulation in many types of timber frame assemblies to achieve partly protection. This paper presents new and revised design methods for the fire resistance of timber frame assemblies insulated with heat-resistant and non-heat-resistant mineral wools.
