In this work, a distributed dispatch framework for a multi-energy system (MES) has been proposed for fulfilling the heat and electricity demands of a microgrid. The electrical power and heat distribution systems are coupled through combined heat and power (CHP) units. Independent operation of heat and power systems requires decomposition of overall optimization problem into heat and power sub-problems and solving them in an iterative and coordinated way. In this paper, the Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers (ADMM) is used to implement the proposed coordination framework. The proposed method is demonstrated using a case study and compared with the results of centralized dispatch.
