摘要

The flow alterations caused by different packing densities of Pipeline flow diverter have been analyzed for the first time with CFD in this study, benefiting from mechanical modeling of braided stent deployment. Denser packing has much better flow diversion ability than the uniform packing fashion. Since flow diversion may create stagnant flow and excessively low WSS, which trigger inflammatory response and may influence rupture risk, further studies of the biological response to Pipeline placement are required.
