We experimentally characterize a transparent and bidirectional fibre-wireless-fibre link with a wide field-of-view >60° (full-cone) at a transceivers' range of~ 3 metres. The potential for indoor Terabit data rate via wavelength division multiplexing techniques is demonstrated The use of single-mode vs multi-mode fibres is also explored using a holographic beamsteering setup. The angular steering accuracy required for the multi-mode fibre is found to be~ 1° compared to~ 0.1° for the single-mode.
