Recently, Japan has turned to be an aging society where approximately one in five people are elderly, aged 65 or over. This situation results in urgent needs of schemes through which the elderly (seniors) can live vividly and meaningfully, namely live a life with “IKIGAI (motivation in life)”including social participation and self-actuation. I would like to talk about building lifelong learning paradigms through which seniors can find out “IKIGAI” and fully enjoy their active lives.
