摘要

A fuel-free attitude control system for a spinning solar sail which utilizes solarradiation pressure was developed. This system consists of thin-film devices attachedto the sail that electrically control their optical parameters such as reflectivity,and the attitude control torque is generated by switching their opticalparameters synchronizing with spin motion. Attitude control torque model for asail of arbitrary shape and deformation was derived. The control system wasimplemented for Japanese interplanetary solar sail demonstration spacecraftIKAROS and the on-orbit attitude control performance was evaluated.
