Air Quality Monitoring at Front Range Community College: Environmental Education Efforts at the Community College Level

This air quality-focused project is a unique collaboration between Front Range Community College (FRCC), the Global Ozone Project (GO3), National Jewish Health, Air Resource Specialists, Inc. and AECOM, Inc. The project involves implementation of an air quality and meteorological monitoring station and associated learning modules at FRCC. In addition to the classroom use, the measurements from the air quality station will be useful for a summer-time multi-investigator research project, the Front Range Air Pollution and Photochemistry Experiment. The project is designed to enhance student understanding of air quality problems and lead to further student exploration of air quality as a career pathway.
