Updates to Version 3.61 of the Biogenic Emission Inventory System (BEIS)

A summary of the latest updates to the BEIS version 3.61 have been described. These updates include a revised BELD version 4 database compared to the BELD version 3 database used in BEIS version 3.14. A leaf temperature canopy model is now included with the BEIS system instead of using 2 meter temperatures as was done in version 3.14. These updates to BEIS will be incorporated in upcoming releases of the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) system version 5.1 and the Sparse Matrix Operator Kernel Emissions (SMOKE) version 3.6.
