This paper describes background thinking and production of damage decision support books to provide ships masterswith the relevant information required to make a sound judgement and decision in the event of an incident. The papercompares the options currently available to ships and goes on to describe the paper based approach that Hart Fentonhave used for a number of clients vessels.
