Act as the basis of grid computing, the importance of the grid security is as a self-evident. Safety certification is the basis for security services. Thus, once the authentication system is compromised, all security measures of the system will be useless. Authentication technology provides a kind of guarantee which is related to a person or a thing. This paper analyzes the existing security authentication mechanism, especially the proxy certificate mechanism and the grid proxy certificate chain mechanism used in grid authentication. It points out the defects of existing grid proxy certificate chain mechanism under the condition of intermediate nodes scission in the grid task chain and suggests a kind of grid identity authentication mechanism based on double signature, which is based on proxy certificate to do attribute field extension and dual signature. It is at the expense of certificate data redundancy and increasing the complexity of certificate management to solve the proxy certificate chain scission problem. It provides the basis of security for the next step of study on the grid quest chain scission issues.
