Transplant of VxWorks based on OMAP platform

摘要

This paper transplanted VxWorks to the open multimedia application platform (OMAP) according to the architecture of OMAP5910 processor and VxWorks operating system. For the OMAP processor contains digital signal processing (DSP) kernel and advanced risc machines (ARM) processor, we modify the borad support packet (BSP) of VxWorks according to the mapping relations of memory address space and hardware resource configure of OMAP5910, including system exceptional operations, central processing unit (CPU) initialization, serial driver, network driver and so on. Then the kernel image is compiled and burned to the OMAPS910 ARM-side, and the experimental results suggest that VxWorks is transplanted to the OMAPS910 platform successfully.
