This paper deals with design and implementation of monitoring and control temperatures in electric furnace. In term of the software is a site monitoring and control of temperatures provided by SCADA/HMI system PROMOTIC and communication between application and hardware structure is implemented using the site PLC B&R 2005 and its modules. PLC is connected via a serial interface into control computer. Electrical laboratory furnace is heated by four coils placed in four different zones of furnace. Switching on and off the heating in each zone is provided by the central switchboard voltage. The application of monitoring and control system created in PROMOTIC system consists of two basic images that are used to monitor control temperatures, the temperature of furnace atmosphere and to control heating in the electric furnace.
