Graphene is a 2-dimensional honeycomb network of carbon atoms, which has amphoteric electronic structure with novel massless Dirac fermions. In view of magnetism, graphene is featured as the giant diamagnetism caused by the presence of the zero-mode originating from the linear dispersion, while the Pauli spin paramagnetism vanishes because of no electronic states at Fermi energy in neutral graphene. However, the structural modifications of graphene sheet results in the change in the electronic / magnetic structure, which gives a variety of additional features to graphene.
