Information Effect of CRM Announcements in Public Companies in Taiwan

摘要

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of CRM on enterprise value from the perspective of outside investors. Matched-pair analysis was used to determine whether CRM announcements by a firm affect non-announcing firms. Results revealed that CRM announcements do induce short-term, positively significant abnormal stock returns. This study further found that finance, insurance, real estate, and business services produce a stronger information effect when making CRM announcements, suggesting that different company types influence market reaction direction and strength.
