An H.264/AVC video encoder for data transmission in 3G network was designed in this paper. According to the characteristics of data transmission, the compression ratio and error resilience strategies of H.264/AVC, the coded video data is completely suited to transmission via WCDMA in terms of data size and robustness. Viewer can receive a distinct stable dynamic restoration picture on the monitor.
