For the purpose of the temperature collecting, processing and other functions in the vast space for environment, it needs a low-cost, lowspeed, reliable wireless multi-point temperature monitoring system. .In this paper, authors designed a multi-point temperature monitoring system using ZigBee chips because of their low-power consumption and low-cost. Authors chose the Texas Instruments' chip CC2430 and ZigBee protocol stack as the platform, and used attached analog temperature sensor to collect the temperature. Authors implemented the temperature collecting and transmitting between the coordinator node and sensor nodes, and the coordinator communicated with the host computer using serial communication technology. Authors also designed the PC software, which is written with C++ codes in MFC (Microsoft Foundation Class) of Visual C++ 6.0, to monitor temperature.
