A Survey Study on the Topics and Methods of E-procurement

With the increasingly intense competition between supply chains, the realization of advanced quality management in supply chain has become an exquisite premise for the survival of firms. In e-commerce arena, there are revolutionary changes in quality management in supply chain, especially in procurement management. Buyers fear the threat of supply delays and poor quality that could shut down production and damage end products. In this paper, we survey the recent research results of electronic procurement (eprocurement, EP) based on its research issues and research methods. The benefits and business model of EP, electronic marketplace, buyer-supplier relationship, electronic auction, and quality management in EP are studied and some problems existing in the research are pointed.
