摘要

A new method is proposed for the diamond turning of the optical free-form surface.The tool path of the diamond turning with fast tool servo (FTS) is generated based on the equation of the free-form surface.And then the NC codes generated on the basis of the tool paths are compiled.By compiling the NC codes of diamond turning of the free-form surface,the process of machining is simulated.The errors of the tool path caused by the NC codes can be obtained by comparing that of generated based on the equation of the free-form surface.In practical machining,the cutter path compensation is made according to the errors.
