Dynamic Simulation Analysis of the Translational Meshing Motor

A serial of Translational Meshing Motors (TMM) have being developed recently, but it is a multivariable, strong coupling and highly nonlinear system which has lots of difficulties to model and Analysis. A simpler and quite accurate model based on finite element method is presented to analyze the nonlinear characteristics and dynamic characteristic of motor in this paper. The geometry structure, electromagnetic parameters and control model were simulated and studied as a whole. The design to control and dynamic performance of TMM were considered by data transfer from Ansof. Maxwell to Matlab. A simulation was taken for a translational meshing motor under switch control method. In simulation process, various practical limitations have been incorporated in the simulation model to make it closer to the experimental setup. The results of simulation are corresponding with experiment results, which validate the effective of the simulation model.
