摘要

With traditional signal generators, it's difficult to solve the problems of fine frequency resolution, fast switching between output frequencies, phase continuous, low noise etc. This paper designs a Quartus II-based DDS which can easily generate a variety of FM signals. During the generation of ROM look-up table of sine wave in Quartus II, the compression optimization is used. With a suitable FPGA, the designed DDS is simulated. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis. The DDS designed by this method has great flexibility, can meet user's special requirements, and therefore has a wide range prospect of applications.
