摘要

The effects of zircon silicate (ZrSiO4), Zinc oxide (ZrO2), and Alumina (Al_2O_3), silicon carbide(SiC) as additives on the microstructure and tribological properties of sintered Cu-C-Fe_3O_4-Snfor racing car application have been studied. All the specimens were sintered at 750°C for 5 min.The abrasive characteristics was tested on a 1/5 scale dynamometer. Effectiveness, fade andrecovery, and noise tests were carried out to analyze the friction characteristics. The sinteredspecimens showed better abrasive properties in the order of ZrSiO_4 < ZrO_2 < Al_2O_3 < SiC. In thebest additive of SiC, the friction coefficient was found to be 0.482 and showed less than 10%degradation during life time test at 100 km/h and 130 km/h.
