This paper discusses the implementation of a π/4-DQPSK bandpass modulator integrated solely on a digital platform, without the use of external modulators, mixers, or RF filters. Modulation and filtering are performed digitally, hence providing high performance and noise immunity. The system is described in blocks, which are later coded in VHDL and implemented on an FPGA.
