Technological innovation, intellectual property protection and the structure of imports in China

摘要

Based on the CH Model, this paper takes into account of the relationship between the technological innovation and intellectual property protection, intellectual property protection and economic development level and human capital, and makes an econometric model to test the impact of technological innovation, intellectual property protection on the structure of China's imports selecting the time series data from 1985 to 2007 years. The regression results show that there are more significant positive impact of technological innovation and GDP per capita on the structure of China's imports, while significant negative impact of intellectual property protection and human capital on the structure of China's imports. In addition, it finds that there are significant positive correlation between intellectual property protection and technological innovation, human capital.
