The knowledge of the phenomena influencing the fluid dynamics and the mass transfer inliquid/liquid systems is of great interest, due to their frequent use in chemical industry. In this work theoccurring interfacial phenomena at single droplets will be analyzed. Two different test systems will beobserved. First the influence of Marangoni effects will be discussed in the systemwater/toluene/acetone. The results show, that the Marangoni convection reduces the drop rise velocityand enhances the mass transfer. In another test system the influence of surfactant molecules will betested. The results show that an increase of the surfactant concentration causes a change of fluiddynamics and a reduction of mass transfer.
