A new no-dig rehabilitation process addresses the underlying cause of lateral connection and point repair failures: inadequate bedding and broken or cracked pipe. With this process, a robotic cutter prepares the area cutting away damaged pipe, creating pathways for the injection of ambient curing resins. During injection, resin is pumped into the damaged area filling soils and bedding to create a reinforcing resin mass. The same resin simultaneously fills gaps and cracks bonding with pipe segments cut during the preparation phase. Bonding permanently eliminates infiltration and root intrusion. Engineers and operators tasked with removing inflow and infiltration from their systems can employ these new technologies to effectively rehabilitate specific point repairs. Industry expertise gleaned from decades of removal and rehabilitation projects combined with analytical software graphing tools help manage and justify technologies.
