LiMn_2O_4-LiSbO_3 composite with the molar ratio Mn/Sb=3 was obtained by solid state reaction. The synthesis process of the LiMn_2O_4LiSbO_3 composite was analyzed by TG-DSC. The structure, stability and Li+ adsorption properties of the composites obtained at various temperatures were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS). The results show that the LiMn_2O_4-LiSbO_3 composite has a combined structure of LiMn_2O_4 (spinel) and LiSbO_3 (perovskite) in which manganese and antimony ions diffuse mutually into perovskite and spinel to form complex solid solutions. The lithium in the LiMn_2O_4-LiSbO_3 composite can be extracted from its framework with the structure and morphology maintained during acid treatment. After acid treatment the composite can adsorb Li+ from an aqueous lithium solution, which demonstrates that it can be used as lithium inorganic adsorbent.
