Common-reflection-surface stack can provide the enhanced seismic stacked section with the best illumination for the reflecting interface in the subsurface. This paper introduced the theory and implementation of 2D zero-offset common-reflection-surface stack, and then applied this method to a 2D synthetic dataset and a low-fold land engineering seismic dataset from Western China. The application on synthetic example and real data shows that zero-offset common-reflection-surface stack can improve the seismic stacked section by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio and enhancing the consistence of reflection event, and the results reveal that this method is a promising tool of seismic data processing.
