The traditional dry beneficiation such as the pneumatic separator, the pneumatic jig and the air table, has low efficiency and with heavy dust pollution, can't meet the requirements of the modern beneficiation. The technology of the air-dense medium fluidized bed concentration, an effective dry beneficiation, can solve the above problems. This paper presents the separation principal of the air dense medium fluidized bed, studies the factors of the dry coal separation technology as well as the importance of the grid plate. The grid plate model is established by the simulation software — AMESim. We have studied the diameter of micropore which is a main factor that influences the pressure based on the model. At last, we have got the relationship between the diameter of the micropore and the outlet pressure. This provides references for the rational selection of the pressure source and the grid plate.
