摘要

Depending on the circumstances, the behaviour of buildings under earthquake loading cannot be sufficiently described only by the first vibration mode. This paper discusses a method for shear wall structures taking higher modes into account. Different procedures for the definition of load vectors representing the effects of higher modes are introduced and evaluated. The application is demonstrated on the example of a terraced house with irregular shear wall distribution in plane and elevation.
