Elasto-plastic large deflection equations are presented for discretely stiffened isotropic circular plates. Force interaction and displacement compatibility between stiffener and plate is taken into account. The equations are solved using a finite differences and the DR algorithm. Results of a parameter study of cross-stiffened plates subjected to uniform pressure are presented as graphs of centre deflection, stress resultant and stress couple versus pressure. First yield values of centre deflection etc are tabulated and spread of plasticity is illustrated for several values of the transverse pressure.
