摘要

The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of the configuration of the lamina on the bending properties of glulam made from Taiwania (Taiwania cryptomerioides) sawn lumber. Two nondestructive techniques and visual grading method were used to evaluate the properties of lamina, and then the homogeneous and heterogeneous structural glulam were manufactured. The results indicated that the DMOEv, DMOEt and MOE values of Taiwania lumber showed a decreasing order as follows: construction grade > standard grade > utility grade. It was also found that transverse vibration method was a better nondestructive method of evaluating sawn lumber. In addition, The different configurations of the lamina can be used to fabricate glulams with different grades of bending strengths
