Southern Philippines utilizes different sources of energy and like any other areas for every increase in energy; major concerns and issues on its sustainable development sprung up. Methods used in this study were both quantitative and qualitative measures, experiment, exploratory and descriptive in findings: (1) each of the energy dimensions are compared economic (energy pricing, end-use energy intensities, and external dependence); On their environment and health of the end users (air pollution and energy resources depletion) and Social dimensions (accessibility and affordability). The significant differences on energy generations and consumers promotions of energy efficiencies and the issues on correlations of energy with that of sustainable development. The ideal energy mixes based on sustainable development. The ideal diversification mixes of energy in Region that can do the following: Promote the use of renewable resources; Reduce dependence on imported energy; (4) Reduce depletion of non-renewable energy resources; Reduce GHG emissions and Reduce social and regional disparities and (5) actions for sustainable energy towards green economy of the region. Recommendations include: Ethanol Automotive Fuel and Sugarcane Bagasse, Sorgum, cassava and jatropha Cogeneration; Non-Combustible New Renewable Energy Sources for Power Generation; Develop and stimulate the adoption of new biomass /bio-fuel sources; Fully Implement the Appliance Efficiency Standards Policies; Expand Utility Investments in End-Use Energy Efficiency; Adopt Industrial Energy Intensity Reduction Targets. Some Coal Plants in the country does not adhere strictly to environmental regulations and yet allowed to operate.
