In this work, using the AnSoft High Frequency System Simulator (HFSS) program, 3D modeling of the Ku-band parabolic two-mirror antenna for satellite communication in the frequency range (11 ... 12,7) GHz was carried out. The general pattern of the entire antenna system is constructed, in Cartesian coordinates 2D and 3D-space. Electrical and electrodynamic calculations of a paraboloid and a mirror antenna feeder are carried out. An analytical calculation of the main parameters of the horn, including directivity patterns in E and H planes, is performed. The obtained values for the main parameters of the antenna operating in the frequency range 11-12,7 GHz, in particular, the amplification factor (CW), the directivity pattern (DW), the standing wave ratio (SWR) are given. Also, the main advantages of using metamaterials in antenna technology were considered.
