Cooperative Diversity Based on Distributed Interleavers and Its Efficient Algorithm in Asynchronous Amplify-and-Forward Relay Networks

In [1], the authors have proposed an analysis on the problem of space-time coding for a synchronized wireless relay networks employing AF (Amplify-and-Forward) protocol which proposes LD (linear dispersion coding) by using linear transformation. In this paper, we extend it to a asynchronous wireless networks and to reduce more processing burden on the relay nodes by allocating interleavers at each relay node. Based on distributed interleavers, we present a new method to encode distributed space-time code at relay nodes achieving full spatial diversity for an asynchronous wireless relay network. We also propose an efficient decoding algorithm, which orders the joint channel coefficients of overall channel consisting source-relay link and relay-destination link and cancels the previous decoded symbols at the next decoding procedure.
