摘要

This study aimed at assessing the mechanical properties of tubbings operating under conditions of elevated temperatures. Hot tensile (standard ASTM-E 21) and creep (standard ASTM-E 139) measurements were made in tubbings of Stainless Steel (A268/Tp 446 and APM/kanthal alloy) at different levels of velocity and temperature. Each of these data sets has been separately analyzed according to their own methodologies. The method employed for creep result extrapolation was the Larson - Miller method. Hot tensile and creep testing allowed to proving that the APM/Kanthal alloy steel is superior to the A268/Tp 446 steel under elevated temperature conditions, both for short and long testing times.
