This paper was about absorption characteristics of the new absorbent NSUL-1, which used for treating oilfield injection water. We studied the materials dosage, the adsorption time, pH values, adsorption temperature and other factors affected on adsorption property of NSUL-1, results showed that: when the material dosage was 4.0 g/L, adsorption time was 8h, the oil removal rate reached up to 92%. The reaction temperature of 30 ??, pH of 7 were the optimal conditions, with the initial concentration of 100mg/L of oil field injection water, its oil removal rate reached up to 98%. By studying on NSUL-1 adsorption isotherms and adsorption dynamics, results described that adsorption process of oilfield injection water treated by NSUL-1 coincided with the Freundlich equation, and the adsorption process followed pseudo-first-order dynamics adsorption model, namely the adsorption process was a physical adsorption and the reaction rate was proportional to the concentration of crude oil in wastewater.
