Does Chinese Distribution Industry Have Development Pattern?: Empirical Analysis Based on the Province Data

In contrast to the rising pattern in service sector, using Chinese province data, an inverted-U curve between the share of distribution in GDP and the level of development arises. The empirical results are robust to the choice of functional form.A similar pattern is also found when cross-section data is used.
