Advanced VT3000 System Development in Pre-commission of 1000MW USC Power Unit

Two 1000 MW USC (Ultra Super Critical) coal fueled power units are being built in China Huaneng Jingling Power Plant now. A simulator for operator training and DCS debugging in pre-commission period is very necessary. Completely new VT3000 system development becomes a great technical challenge besides power unit modeling during this simulator project. In this paper, the reasonable architecture of VT3000 system is established after deep analysis of the characteristics of real T3000 DCS. With the incomplete DCS source data translation and supplementary coding, an automation controllers' server software package named VS7 and a human machine interface software package named VTC corresponding to real T3000 DCS are developed successfully. They form the two parts of VT3000 software system. After connected with 1000 MW USC power unit model system, the VT3000 system can meet the need of basic operator training in pre-commissioning period and provide the reference to configuration and modification of real DCS with a high practical significance.
