Analysis of Care Activities in Large-scale Care Facility for the Elderly with Dementia in China

Dementia is a progressive cognitive impairment caused byincreasing age. With the global aging, the number of the elderlywith dementia (EwD) is rapidly growing. By 2030, it is predicted tobe 75 million EwD in the world and most of them will be living indeveloping countries with weak economic foundation and shortageof professional caregivers1. Therefore, developing countries arefacing an enormous challenge to properly settle EwD.
