This study describes the in-place testing approach with apenetration resistance test to identify low-strength concrete(9MPa) in Bangladesh. Relationships have been developed fortwo types of pins; sharp and flat of diameters 2.5 mm. The resultsthrough the plaster mortar layer show good alignment proving thevalidity of the method.AcknowledgementThis research was financially supported by SATREPS-TSUIB projectheaded by Prof. Yoshiaki Nakano at the University of Tokyo andMohammad Shamim Akhter at the Housing and Building ResearchInstitute, Bangladesh.
