Tenement apartments have the potential to solve the problem of affordable decent shelter for the urban poor.MFIs often offer capital to the borrowers when they accept prescribed lending criteria including a design solution.Thus it can be possible to canalize a potential financing source to scale-up decent affordable shelter production.TAs are supposed to earn ample rental incomes and economically sound as those will operate in urban areas where rental housing has great demand.It can offer affordable rent to the poor tenants,cost recoverable to the producers and eventually replicable to other cities as well.
