NUMERICAL SIMULATION METHOD STUDY OF STEEL TUBULAR K-JOINTS CONSIDERING WELD PROFILE

摘要

Steel tubular structures are used widely in civil engineering and ocean engineering recently. In these structures, the tubular members are joined together by welding. The stress distribution of these welded tubular connections is rather complex and incur phenomenon of stress concentration, which affects considerably fatigue life of tubular joints. The hot spot stress method is a main research method which is used for study on fatigue life of tubular joints by scholars at home and abroad, and stress concentration factor is the main parameter for calculating hot spot stress. The weld profile modeling method is put forward, and numerical modeling of tubular K-joints are established, and research on stress concentration factors distribution is completed in this paper. Compared with results of related literature, it is proved that numerical modeling method in this paper is simple and reliable, high in precision and accuracy, so this paper provide reference for FE analysis and engineering design of tubular joints.
