The VMI Program in Supply Chain Systems

摘要

Given the challenges posed by market globalization,Ne wer approaches to supply chain management attempt to organize the supply chain as a network of cooperating intelligent agents,each performing one or more supply chain functions and each coordinating actions with one another. VMI is a fundamental change in the approach for solving the problem of supply chain coordination. In this paper,we first review vendor managed inventory, then introduce VMI programs. Finally,we study a model for vendor managed inventory and draw conclusions.
