This paper applied the simplified elastic contact theory into the research on dynamic lubrication between complicated surfaces. The simplified elastic contact theory is relevant to my work in that both theories assume: there are no effects the adjacent "slices" of a body have on each other. The simplified elastic contact theory is different to my work in that: one is aimed at the contact stress between wheel of the train and the railway; another is aimed at the dynamic lubrication between complicated surfaces.
