10 healthy and 10 ACL ruptured subjects were tested under supervision of an orthopedic surgeon using a knee arthrometer.Statistical analyses showed that a combination of CI9060 and SSI50 can be a better criterion than the usual criteria of SS90, CI9060, or their combination. Although the linear discriminant analysis was unable to recognize all the subjects' ACL conditions, Figure 4 showed that the ACL-ruptured, and healthy groups can be identified correctly using the new criterion. Based on the performed statistical analyses higher forces resulted in more reliable side to side difference results. Also, based on the investigation of the results in the Figure 4, it is recommended to use Eq.3 to evaluate ACL condition. However, more tests should be performed and included in the data analysis to have more reliable statistical analyses, and the discriminant function (Equation.3) should be validated by using a larger data base.
