No matter which way is used in equipment and material procurement, the specialized sub-contractors should select or put forward suggestion on some kind of procurement using its market information and appropriation technology, thus the most superior materials suitable to the design request may be purchased. The thesis aimed at general contract project, which is more and more frequently adopted in project management in recent years, such as D+B mode, EPC mode and Turnkey mode and so on. The thesis systematically analyzed the characteristics of the value chain and supply chain of general contract project, and analyzed the differences with traditional pattern, on the basis of the association of value chain and supply chain, the thesis put forward the idea that the value chain management and supply chain management should be cooperated together in general contract project, and designed the basic mode of the cooperating management The idea could be used for reference by owners and contractors who want to raise the value of general contract project
